Two arabica beans that started very far from here.

Donovan is a visual designer. Alissa is a writer. The two met working in coffee, and grew to love the craft, working with others, and figuring out exactly what fits someone’s taste. That’s where the creativity started: working with people and solving problems side by side. Taking that same operations and people-first experience, both grew a little further along the branch.

Donovan spent time in corporate environments, honing his design skills, marketing and branding strategy, and the foundational work businesses actually need. Alissa worked more closely with people, building her communication, public relations, and project management skills.

Along the way, both kept noticing the same thing: businesses trying to scale up, looking great from the outside, but with a very different picture underneath. Many of them had real, day-to-day operational issues.

Gentlebean Creative Studio was born from that question. Built to make sure a growing business, from just starting out to mid-size, doesn’t just get it done, but gets it done right the first time.

That’s the cup we’re pouring. Gentlebean is the cultivation of our skills, the effort of building and understanding, and the ideas that come from putting them together, all shaped around what your business actually needs.
